In Time (Emma)

SOLD

In Time (Emma) has been created from an elegant 3rd Edition published by Oxford University Press in 1933.

A collection of tiny houses have been cut from the pages of the book, with words cut into the roofs creating a redacted poem that echoes the story within. The houses are nestled together, some deep within the book, with others rising to meet in the centre, capturing the coming together of two halves. They have the feel both of emerging from the book and also being immersed in it.

The words read:

Indulgent vanity of misspent desire
Doing disservice to dear friends
Before quiet reason softened spirits
And joyous affections warmly united
